Re-Elect Dr. Joyce Ellis-McNeal For Saving Public Schools

Together We Are Doing Great Things

As President of the Flint Board of Education, I have remained committed to advancing Flint Community Schools through strong advocacy, responsible leadership, and a focus on meaningful progress. Over the past three years, we have achieved more forward movement than the district has seen in the last fifty years — including the development of new school facilities, significant strides in blight removal, and renewed momentum for long‑term improvement across our community.

My Vision & Mission

What I Believe

My Mission is to achieve academic improvement across the all educational levels. Improving Key Performance Indicator (KPI) which shows how your child is succedding from k-12 grades.  My Vision is to create a parent university at each school that captures the parents hearts that will support classroom management.

My Vision

My vision is to capture parents’ hearts by establishing a Parent University at every school — a welcoming, supportive space that equips families to partner with educators and reinforce strong classroom management.

District Debt Reduction

Our goal is to balance the district’s budget through strategic debt reduction. We have initiated a zero‑balance budget audit, which will take effect in August 2026. In addition, we are conducting a Human Resources audit and a comprehensive job analysis to ensure staffing efficiency and alignment with district needs.

Property Development

We are also taking decisive action to reduce the number of vacant properties across the district. By addressing abandoned sites through targeted demolition and strategic sales, we are stabilizing our assets, strengthening our community presence, and creating a more sustainable foundation for future growth.

Everything that becomes true starts with a vision.

STRONGER BOARD GOVERNANCE

ADVOCATING FOR FLINT FAMILIES

I have consistently worked to ensure that parents and families have a voice in decisions affecting their children.  I have worked to strengthen Board governance, accountability, communication, and policies so that the Board can better fulfill its responsibility to Flint families.

My Promise

I will continue to listen, advocate, collaborate, and lead.  I will continue asking the difficult questions when they need to be asked.  I will continue seeking partnerships when partnerships can make our schools stronger.  And I will continue standing up for our children and families.  Because Flint’s children deserve nothing less than our best.
